President Klaus Iohannis will “fully respect the Justice decision” regarding the house downtown Sibiu and will return “immediately” the amounts of money that have been paid under the lease after the release of the Brasov Court of Appeal decision, informs the Presidential Administration.
“Mr. Iohannis has taken notice of the rectification in the Land Book number 9331 Sibiu, meaning the deletion of rights on the property which was the subject of a civil decision by the Brasov Court of Appeal. In the current legal context, Mr. Iohannis will fully respect the decision of the Justice and, undoubtedly, he will return immediately the amounts that have been paid as rent, starting with the date of the civil decision communicated by the Brasov Court of Appeal,” the Presidential Administration informs, cited by News.ro.
President Klaus Iohannis and his wife, Carmen Iohannis, are no longer owners of the house in the centre of Sibiu, lost in court, after the County Office of Cadastre admitted on Monday the request of the Administration of Public Finance to cancel the ownership of the two, but noting the decision can be appealed in 15 days.
The presidential family has lost the property rights on the 29, Nicolae Balcescu St. building in Sibiu in November 2015 by a decision of the Brasov Court of Appeal, after a lawsuit that lasted 16 years.
