A 15-year-old girl died after falling from the ninth floor of a block in Sibiu while taking a selfie. Police opened an in rem criminal file for manslaughter.
Judicial sources told local media that the teenager from Sibiu was uptown with other seven friends. At some point, they came up with the idea to get up on a high rise in the center of the city to take a selfie, as they knew the building had outside balconies.
The quoted sources said that the girl leant on the balcony’s balustrade from the ninth floor and it broke.
The girl fell from height and the rescue teams who arrived on the scene could not save her.
