Uber announced the expansion of its Uber Green product to four new cities: Craiova, Constanța, Iași, and Sibiu, as part of its ongoing commitment to offering sustainable transportation solutions across Romania. This latest expansion is a key step in the company’s mission to make eco-friendly mobility accessible to more communities throughout the country.
After launching in Brasov in April, Uber Green’s extension introduces a fleet of environmentally friendly vehicles in Craiova, Constanța, Iași, and Sibiu, including car models such as Toyota Prius, Hyundai Ioniq, Tesla Model Y, Volkswagen ID.3, and more.

We are committed to helping reduce emissions and improving air quality in more cities, offering residents a practical and eco-friendly alternative for their daily mobility needs”, says Ana Maria Borlovan, Head of Driver Operations at Uber, for the Central & Eastern Europe region.
To date, over 1.3 million riders have used Uber Green in Romania, and its vehicles have traveled more than 4.7 million kilometers, contributing to reduced emissions and healthier urban spaces.
Uber Green is thus now available in eight cities: Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Timișoara, Brașov, Craiova, Constanța, Iași, and Sibiu.
