Between August 10-13, the second edition of the two-wheeled event, Vespa 3 Castle Ride, will take place, starting from Sibiu. The participants, accompanied by their beloved Vespas, will discover unique routes in Romania and will visit well-known tourist attractions, among which the most important are Poenari Castle, Alba Iulia Castle and Calnic Castle.
The Vespa 3 Castle Ride is an emblematic event, addressed to all Vespa culture and history enthusiasts, both in the country and abroad. More than 100 vespers from the country and members of Vespa clubs in Europe are expected at this edition.
The event maintains the concept of the first edition, that of discovering interesting destinations on two wheels, feeling, at the same time, the pleasure and freedom that the Vespa tradition offers: a free experience and an easy life, lived on the most beautiful scooter in the world, your scooter.
On August 10, in Sibiu, at the Pizza Napoletana restaurant in Piața Mare, the reception point will be set up, intended exclusively for participants in the race, as well as the closing celebration, which took place on August 13. During the 3 days spent in this unique experience, Vespa enthusiasts will enjoy amazing views, scenic routes and enjoy authentic gastronomic products from Romanian cuisine.
• The route measures 560 km and touches two of the most emblematic roads in Romania: Transfăgărășan and Transalpina.
• Stops at the three fortresses: Poenari, Alba Iulia and Calnic.
• The awards and participation gala will be organized by Vespa Club Romania together with Vespa Club Bucharest.
“The first edition, the one in 2018, which was attended by almost 100 enthusiasts and owners of Vespa scooters, marked an important moment in the history of the Vespa Romania Club. This motivated us to continue writing the story on the roads in Romania, to show members from other countries also our spectacular routes and objectives full of history and charm. We are pleasantly impressed to have the Vespa World Club Tourism Commissioner and national club presidents from 5 countries as participants. The number of participants is 120, coming from 17 countries (Bulgaria, Serbia, Poland, Italy, Greece, Hungary, Slovenia, Belgium, Macedonia, Croatia, Austria, Canada, Slovakia, Montenegro, Spain, France, Germany) and of course Romania” , declares Cristian Turcin, President of Vespa Club Romania.
