On Friday, July 22, 2022, starting with 17:00, the gates of the 15th bis edition of the ARTmania festival open, an anniversary edition that brings to music and arts fans 3 days of concerts, 14 international and Romanian bands and a series of cultural creative events and awards.
At ARTmania Festival 2022, fans will be able to listen in the Great Square of the old city of Sibiu to some of the most appreciated artists of the moment: Mercyful Fate, Meshuggah, Transatlantic, Testament, Cult of Luna, Leprous, The Pineapple Thief, Stoned Jesus, The Vintage Caravan completed by Alternosfera, Bucovina, Dordeduh, Taine and the young Sibiu band Revolver.
Access rules
The public access in the perimeter of the festival will be able to be made in the three days of the festival (July 22, 23 and 24, 2022), between 17:00 and 00:00. The marathon of concerts on the main stage in Piata Mare will start every day from 19:00. In order to enter the space specially arranged for the festival, the public must present at the time of access on the festival gates a ticket, a subscription or a valid invitation that can be used by one person, only once. These will be exchanged in the access bracelet when entering the festival area and allow entry only in the concert area and at ARTmania Festival related events.
Tickets / season tickets / invitations can be exchanged for bracelets and at the festival information center, which will be open throughout the event. The ARTmania Festival Info Point will be located opposite the Brukenthal National Museum, in Piata Mare, Sibiu and will operate every day of the festival, between 12:00 and 00:00 (July 22-24, 2022). Wearing the bracelet is mandatory throughout the festival, and it will be checked, both at the entrance to the festival and inside it. Breaking, damaging or losing the bracelet cancels the owner’s right to participate and access the festival. To re-enter you will need to purchase a new ticket and change it into a new bracelet. Participants in the ARTmania Festival are obliged to submit to the brief body control and to allow the baggage control. Participants must have a valid identity card to prove their legal age. It is forbidden to access with large luggage, backpacks or bulky backpacks. Accepted luggage dimensions are 21 cm (length) x 29 cm (height) x 12 cm (width). The organizers reserve the right to prohibit the access of violent persons, in an advanced state of intoxication or of participants under 16 unaccompanied by an adult. Also, the organizers reserve the right not to allow access to the festival to those who refuse security control or to persons who are suspected of endangering other participants or the proper conduct of the festival.
Children up to the age of 12 have free access to the festival perimeter if they are accompanied by a parent / legal guardian with a valid ticket / subscription, a document proving the child’s age and parental consent filled in and signed by the parent/legal guardian. The parental consent is available here.
Youngsters aged 12 to 16 are also allowed based on a valid ticket only if they accompanied by an adult person with a valid ticket and based on the parental consent document.
Parents or guardians are responsible for the safety of children, the organizers are not responsible for any incidents. It is recommended to wear helmets or earplugs for children under 10 years. The organizers do not encourage the presence of very young children at such events, where the decibel limit could create negative effects on children’s hearing, which is why access to prams is prohibited. Exceptions are only strollers for people with disabilities.
Only persons over 18 years of age have the right to purchase alcohol, so it is mandatory for participants to present, upon request, a valid identity card.
It is forbidden to access with blunt or dangerous objects, knives, any kind of glass containers (including perfume or cream bottles) or metal, sprays (including self-defense sprays), plastic drums , cans, beverage cans, chairs, normal or foldable, banners supported by sticks, lasers, Chinese lanterns, strollers, skateboards, scooters, bicycles, motorcycles, etc., foldable umbrellas / umbrellas (we recommend the use of capes) rain) and any kind of substances prohibited by law. Access to medicines is allowed only on the basis of the related medical prescription.
Also, it is forbidden to access with illegal substances or other materials that can be considered dangerous for the good development of the event or that can endanger the good condition of the participants.
Access with pets is not allowed within the festival perimeter.
